Anti-CCD absorbent

The Anti-CCD Absorbent is an additional reagent developed for the incubation of our blot-based allergy profiles (EUROLINE). The absorbent eliminates IgE antibodies against cross-reactive carbohydrates (CCD) from patient serum or plasma, which can increase the specificity of test results and prevent false negative results. 

Anti-CCD IgE antibodies are directed against sugar structures on proteins and are detectable in approximately 25 percent of allergy patients, but also in non-allergic individuals. They usually do not have any clinical relevance.
